After Dinner Conversation believes ethics can improve life and their philosophy/ethics short story magazine has a community of 100,000 readers, and I believe an acceptance rate of only 3%. They also have a weekly podcast.
I like their stories, agree with their editors that the stories they feature are compelling and have an ethical punch, and thought others of you might be interested that they offer a free sample issue. I found that on the website http://www.afterdinnerconversations.com, and requested one and it came quickly.
Also, the editor let me know if you’d like to subscribe, you can use the code “DINNER” and that will get you your first month free. The dinner code only works for the month-to-month option.

OK, I tried to subscribe and tried to get the discount. It would not apply the discount and as I proceeded through the “pay” screens, was informed that it would deduct the annual subscription rate automatically from my card. I’m not up for that, so I ducked out midstream, so to speak.
