Thank you for telling employers to partner with their employees.

My employer reads your blog articles on LinkedIn, bought your book and after reading it announced a “Partnering with Employees” initiative.

In the past I’ve rolled my eyes at “initiatives” and dreaded surveys. This one was different. it and a survey. Survey questions included:

  • What makes it hard to come back to the office?
  • What do you most miss that remote work gave you that in-office work doesn’t?
  • What did you not want to leave when you returned to the office?

In words, questions that mattered.

And now we get to bring dogs to the office! And once every afternoon all employees can take a short fifteen minute walking break.

Maybe other employers can do real surveys.

Thanks for letting me know this real-world result. And fir for the surprise comment about Managing for Accountability, https://bit.ly/3YCSblO. I sprinkled partnering questions all through that book. It’s thrilling to learn that the book’s impact blessed your office with dogs.

If you want to accomplish something similar in your workplace, read tomorrow’s post on how to set up a pet-friendly office http://bit.ly/3xnM9JT.
